So, I don't see a thread like this and I thought it would be a good idea for us to exchange relevant comments on each others blogs. I've been reading that comments help search engine optimization as well and I don't see too many people talking about it on here. Even if what I read is wrong, I think comments are good because it makes a site look active.. Anyone want in? Got any ideas?

Most site owners want comments but I doubt you will get many takers because it would mean having to make loads of comments which no one genuinely wants to do.
The commentluv plugin might attract commenters because there is something in it for the commenter, ppl only really care about themselves.

Blog comments are helpful in getting the site more activity and participation from users. However, it's quite complicated since it will require great trust and commitment when doing blog comment exchanges. Not all people are up for this kind of scenario. There's also the chance that person A might post a useful comment while person B will fail to do so.
 
Blog commenting will work to a greater extent if the comments given by the bloggers are related to the topic as we do in BHW...The comments which are like conversations will be more informative and significantly gains lots of viewership...!
 
Would be interested to see how the club is going to be handled. My only concern is if the club does not reach critical mass for it to move forward.
 
I mean comments on the facebook social plugin.
 
I've tried some thing like this in the past, but turns out it didn't work out to well...it did for about a week then it just became real comment spam... comment spam sucks and is actually bad for seo. I would like to also see how this works out. I'm game to join it, if only the trust would be there to not spam and provide useful comments on others blogs.
