The best one is commenting niche related to your website, which rank higher than your, and has do-follow links. If there is no 3 points with that checklist go for at least two. Comments shouldn't be spammy like hello, grettings, it should give some value to the article, post because it's the best ad you can get for your site.

If the purpose of your blog comment is to leave some links, i think it is spamming,if you leave relevant link to the blog post it is not spamming.and use your full and real name, use valid email address,donot copy and paste an article.
