Yes. If you can find a niche-related site then it is possible to get traffic and rank your site. Remember that you are not allowed to spam.
Blog comment backlinks don’t really help rankings in 2025/2026. They’re mostly nofollow/UGC and Google barely counts them. They’re only useful for backlink diversity, faster indexing, and small referral traffic if the blog is relevant.
They won’t boost authority or help in competitive niches, and spammy use can hurt your trust signals.
For real SEO gains, contextual links, guest posts, and digital PR work much better.
