Blocked for liking too fast for the second time - No illegal actions

Hello everyone!

I am having an issue with my Instagram, as I am a very active user (I currently am unemployed and spend many hours per day using the app), but even if I've never used bots or anything illegal, I've already been blocked twice for liking too fast!

It happened again yesterday, when I posted a new photo on my account, that was very cute and funny to be honest, so it attracted many of my followers to hit the like button (I have around 1650 real followers since last month that I created my account, but I only follow around 200). My tactic is, when I start noticing people liking my photo, I go to their profile and like some of their pictures (around 2-4 depending how much I like the specific profile). I make no exceptions, I repeatedly scroll through all my notifications, so that I please everyone and thank them for noticing me.

In the meantime, I check my feed to see what my followings post and like their latest photo. After about 2-3 hours, I put some hashtags on my photo to attract new people that don't already follow me and I visit their profile when they like, as well. I also search for photos using the most popular hashtag for the category my account reffers to and like photos I find interesting and cute.

With this tactic, it's the second time I've been blocked as of yesterday and I did nothing bad, I am just being very active, which I suppose should be a good thing for a social network and I shouldn't be punished for that!

Thank you for reading till now! I have a few questions:

1. Liking too fast means I hit the button too fast for some photos in a row? Because I don't remember hitting it too fast... Or does it mean that I liked too many photos in an hour? What should I change to my habits to avoid this happening again?

2. Since it's the second time this is happening, is it going to take 24 hours or more, this time? I have already contacted them twice for the issue, explaining that I am not doing illegal actions with my account and if they want, they can investigate it. The first time it happened, I had contacted them and the liking feature was unblocked after a few hours. Now, it's been many hours and I have not received any feedback, nor my account has been unlocked.

3. If I try to hit the like button and it gives me the warning again, does it start counting from the beginning? I really hope not, because how else would I know if I'm unblocked, if I don't try to like pictures?

4. Is there any effective way to reach Instagram for such issues and get response back?

Block like this usually get lifted in 24 hours. I've tried another thing, you can follow 49 people , wait 5 minutes and then follow new 49 and keep repeating it without any block(followed 800 in a row without getting blocked). Not sure how much you should wait between likes.

I believe it kills all the fun for me, if I have to start counting and being cautious all the time, in order not to hit certain limits - which to be honest, if you're as active as I am, it's not difficult at all! I guess I'll have to get used to it.

The weird thing is that it lets me like some photos, before the warning pops up again. I'm just afraid that by triggering it, the counter could be restarted and start all over from the beginning! If anyone can confirm that this is not the case, I'd be grateful!

Ahhhhh. Thanks for this. I'm gonna try this.. If this works.. You're a certified genius. Know this.

I am having the exact same issue with the exact same strategy lol. On difference for me is I was using both Iconosquare and iPhone to do liking etc. Got 1000 followers in a week because some pages with huge followings were picking up my shots (I am a pro automotive photographer with a 73k Facebook fan base but just started on instagram). Was having a blast liking all these other car shots of people who like my page.

I too ma afraid that if i like a few images and the the pop up hits does it restart the counter of time before unblock. It has not been 24 hours yet since the block. Let me know if yours is lifted. I am gonna try to leave it sit until the original 24 hour mark hits.

Were you using Iconosquare too?

Hi there! My blocking was lifted 24 hours later, even if I was trying to like in the meantime, so the counter doesn't start from the beginning! I'd suggest sending them a note that you didn't do something wrong and since it's the first time it's happening, they might unblock you before 24 hours have passed, like it happened for me!

Actually, I am using Iconosquare as well, but only for the stats, not for liking. The blocking has happened while using only my iPhone and the original Instagram app.
