With blockchain technology now evolving, we also have domain names as blockchain transactions.

I want to know your thoughts on blockchain domains, like if they will go mainstream in the future, and/or registries and registrars maybe will go out of business someday or at least their revenue will decrease.

Also, will SEO be the same for those domains and how search engines like Google will support them.

You mean .crypto (and so on) domains right? Interested in this too.

In my opinion, the "no renewal" part is pretty awesome. Just tried checking out a domain, and it says $40 which is a steal deal (i guess it used to be $800 or something).

As for seo, I am not qualified to answer this; but I think it will be at par with other traditional extensions (worse than com/net/org though).

As I see it currently, something like ICP needs to really blow up and become commonly used in order for blockchain domains to be worth it.
If you picked up some good ones for low prices(which probably was close to impossible), you may be able to make a profit, but the main issue is that the companies behind these blockchain domains usually classify any one-letter etc. domain as a premium, and then charges $5k+ for them.
You may still be able to make a profit, but it's riskier, and I don't like the greediness behind it either. It hinders mass adoption because the good domains are either owned by the companies behind or investors that are looking to flip them. They are way less likely to actually be used and adopted into the mainstream, and it just becomes an evil circle.

Sounds interesting, but can you please elaborate this part?

I think they work like .onion. I don't know how Google sees those.

I'm just building a list of them, for future use.
