Hello.

I have a danish site/blog that revolved around making money online, but after i started to get high rankings, i have gotten indian traffic, with avg. time on site 3 sec.
I would love to simply block India or whole asia if its possible?

Regards.

It will be better if you block your website for whole world except your IP. Then you only see your website and make money at Online.

Let me elaborate his answer,if your site has the potential to make money,it will! No matter from where the traffic comes from.I have few money making sites getting traffic mainly from asia, and I am making big with CPA.The defect is in your STRATEGY not TRAFFIC! Until its a CPC.So better work on plans to get danish traffic rather than trying some other shit.Try to rank one on google.dk

hey Jeevs I agree with you bro. OP sometime traffic helps such a matter you don't imagine. If you apply any cpa network atfirst they will cheek your alexa. And real human visitor will also help in your SERP. So don't be fool. You can only block spam IP... best of luck

Maybe i was bad at explaining.

Im already getting alot of danish traffic have had it for some time now, but im also starting to get indian traffic.
This website is in danish, so if you are from india its 99% certain that you dont understand anything on the site.

Some might say let it be, but i would rather not have them visit the site.

also, if you read my previous post you will see that im never disrespectful to people who are friendly and mannered themself.

Is this some kind of weird form of racism? What do you care if they visit your site?

Can you not read the OP's comments... His website is in Danish. If the user is not Denmark then there is a very high chance they will not understand the website.
This is not a form of racism, he simply does not see the need for traffic from India.

@OP you should look into tying in the Maxmind Geo database via PHP and then block via country code.

Here is a post where I explained it a little more:

Code:

By including the above into your website, you can show the website to all EU countries, while sending Indian traffic to another site.

OR what may be a better idea -> Add a built in translator along with the GEO script. This way you can auto translate your website for other languages, which offers more potential.

Rofl on some comments in here.... He has no use of India traffic because they will raise the bounce rate.

Not so hard to understand?
High bounce rate= bad in googles eyes

Jesus....some people

OP.. i wish there was a script where you could divert that traffic to my sites. I sure wouldn't mind that ;)

...if your site is in danish and you get lots of visits from asia or other places you dont want, it could be that those are bots. So check your error logs. If you see that many of these visitors are trying to access files and folders that do not exist, hoping to hack into your site, perhaps to turn your server into a spamming zombie or just simple try to harvest.

So i think it can make perfect sense to block certain countries. You can either check your logs and ban the IP adresses as they come or you can go to places like ip2locations and ban them pro-active via your .htaccess...

Looking at the stats from analytics im pretty sure its bots scraping or whatever.
And yea the bounce rate ect. does increase, also looks bad if you want to sell the site.

Im gonna start by taking a look at the link wizard gave, redirecting them to some of my other sites seems like a very nice idea.

no need to block the traffic
just divert it to some other page or a different site
u can atleast earn something through adsense with indian traffic
