Blender Assets: Free Resources Sites

I'm starting out with Blender and would like to know if you guys have recommended sites where I can download free resources and assets that I can practice on? Fairly hard to really practice with the native objects on Blender itself. Was wondering of the creative juices can flow more freely if I were to start with build up assets first and work my up to creating my own objects from scratch.
