Blasting local Kijiji Page

Let's face it, you can try to rank as white hat as possible but is it worth all of the time and effort?

If we take the concept of Web 2.0 blogs as buffers, couldn't we make an ad on Kijiji, blast it and pass on the local juices to our pages?

I use the example of Kijiji because it ranks very well, more than Craigslist from what I've seen and it looks like a professional classified website versus Craigslist looking like its 1994.

Was just wondering if anyone has tried this approach before I go ahead and do it. Thanks.

Haven't done this myself, but looks interesting and I'd try it. What's to lose on it? (asides time, of course).

local classifieds can be used for this purpose and citations. KIjji is only one, and the activity in the local area also helps.

They also drive local traffic.

Usually the links are no-foll though.

Yea it's not the no-follow I'm worried about, it's about preventing a penalty from Google. Going to give this a go some time.
