1 week I have been off the net as BT stopped my account as my Scrooge brother did not pay the bill He is even more poor than me. I been having internet withdrawal problems

Now I got back I have laptop problemsagain with my Asus Nvidea graphics card conflicts with screen splitting and shuddering I keep doing a Windows restore but updates keep it going bad again and I cannot go past certain Windows updates. I have set Windows Update to ask for new installs now

This net access is all I have too and I have been trying to get a major Iphone game going with all these probs

Is it just a case of getting a newer graphics card to sort it out?

You probably won't be able to change the graphics card. They are usually integrated with the motherboard.

Why not take it back where you bought it? Or is it a old one maybe?

before you do that, press Ctrl+Shift+Escape, go to Processes (upper tab near Applications), click Show Processes From All Users and end them all, one by one. Some can't be ended, but when you're done, see if the problem persists, it just might be a bad software tool in the background.

I stole all three of my laptops when I was desperate.

Not proud of it but it was easy to do.

Which one would yo get of these? HP or Packard Bell?

They are both the same brands to be honest, well made by the same people. HP means Hewlett Packard. Dont ask me why its like that theres no point trying understand multi million pound companies lol...
