Blanking Referrer, a Good Practice?

In my experience, NOPE.

I would assume you are thinking about sending traffic to ad-sense or some other offers and yeah it might work out for some for a while. But to put it straight , most networks realize most of the traffic (not all) without proper referral (Blank Ref.) is usually shady and hence will start monitoring you closely. And if you traffic doesn't convert well enough for them , you might end up loosing.

Remember , I don't speak for everyone else, these are just my 2 Cents from my personal experience.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Man :)
I am sending them legit traffic, still it doesn't convert. I guess I need to work :p

Even if you blank the referrer, poor traffic will still show its ugly face.

Yeah, got to know about this. Talked to the AM about a few things, I will stick to the real methods as of now :)

As has been said above, networks will soon catch bad traffic and if you're blanking the referrer they're going to be asking a lot of q's.

yeah because legit traffic has a referer. They wont see that you send bad traffic but they already know that you do if you blank it. Best would be to run a fake referer script.

not true. serious earners blank there referrers.

Shouldnt be a problem blanking if you know what you are doing.

It can be problem if you are doing something shady. I have been faking the referrer for one of my sites which is a little bit illegal. Been doing it for like 3-4 months with no problems at all.

Had a talk with one CPA expert friend of mine, he said that it won't lead to any problems until and unless the quality of leads is Good.
