    DMR = Double Meta Refresh and it's a surefire method to blank the referrer. If the operation doesn't succeed, the end user is sent to a page of your choice instead of the affiliate link.

    There's a couple of scripts lying around on the internet, but here's how I like to do it:

    you need 2 files: index.php and filter.php

    You are going to upload these files on one of your domains in a folder called 'dmr'. You can name it whatever you want by the way, but it needs to be a separate folder.

    index.php - you don't need to make any changes to this one, just copy/paste the code.

    PHP:
    <?php

    $a
    $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'];
    $b str_replace("index.php","filter.php",$a);
    $c $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'];
    $d "http://".$c.$b;
    echo
    "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;url=".$d."\">";

    ?>
    filter.php - change the urls between the quotes.

    PHP:
    <?php
    $mysite
    "http://bargainscout.info/";
    $afflink "http://stardrifter.org/cgi-bin/ref.cgi";

    $referer $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];
    if(
    $referer == "")
        {
    echo
    "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;url=".$afflink."\">";
        }
    else
        {
    echo
    "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;url=".$mysite."\">";
        }
    ?>
    After you're done all you have to do is link to yourdomain.com/dmr/

    If you want to use this to increase the traffic rank of one of your websites, you can also use a simple 1px iframe:

    Code:
    <iframe width="1px" height="1px" src="http://yourdomain.com/dmr/" frameborder="0"></iframe>
    Enjoy ! :D

    no, if you want them to see a blank ref you have to use this method to redirect to the cpa offer. So in that frame you made with something like cakeslice the link would be to the dmr page. I don't know if you got that.

    Ipod,

    Andy is saying that you can include this within an iframe, BUT you must use the DMR link......example: http://yourwebsite.com/dmr/

    Ok...just finished testing.

    Works in FF, but not IE.

    any progress on this? I plan to look into it tomorrow, so far I have been framing PPL where they don't care too much since the lead is qualified manually.

    OK, I fixed it. It should work on IE too now. Apparently I missed some quotes. I modified the code from the original post. You can try it out now.
    I tested it on some browsers, and here's how it went:

    Firefox 3.5 - OK
    IE 8 - OK
    Opera - doesn't work, so it redirects to the other page you choose
    Google Chrome - doesn't work, so it redirects to the other page you choose
    SeaMonkey - OK
    K-meleon - OK
    Avant Browser - OK
    Safari - same as Chrome and Opera
    Flock - OK
    Netscape - OK
    Maxthon - OK

    Most people use IE and FF, so you should be safe. I don't know of a more reliable method.

    My guess is PPL means pay per lead. And essentially that's what cpa means. It means you get paid for every lead.
    You can also use this without blanking the referrer if you contact your account manager and ask him/her if it's ok to do that. A lot of the times if you say you're using "incentive OK" offers they will say that's fine. But they will never let you frame it in the way you would do with cakeslice. You have to show the actual offer if you want to be whitehat.

    you can put that on a site that gets a lot of traffic so that traffic will be sent to the site in the iframe as well.

    Does anyone have a DMR script that will do multiple domains so I can just point traffic like this:

    domain.com/dmr.php?d=www.redirect-me-here.com

    Bump...so using an Iframe in a site of 1000 Uniques per day also gives 1000 unique impressions on the Iframed site as well as the main site :D ?? am i correct guys?? :)
