Why do they need understanding of the outside world? Do *YOU* have an understanding of the outside world? I certainly don't, since it varies so much from place to place. I'm struggling to understand my own world.
Chimpanzees don't have anywhere near as many tools as these tribes of peoples. Chimps use sticks to get out fire ants and stones to open nuts. Not exactly 'tools' by our standard. Chimps don't make tools, they just use existing stones/sticks as tools. Primitive human tribes make their own complex tools. Heck they build homes so I don't see how you can compare them to chimps.
Sure, they don't have medicine, but look at the health of most westerners. We eat so much shit from places like mcdonalds and then pump ourselves full of anti-depressants, painkillers and all other drugs. We're hardly living in some medical eutopia here. About the only truly good medicine we have in the west is antibiotics, antiseptics and anaesthetics. Most other crap just creates more problems than it solves.
No proper housing? As in what? The crack houses that many live at in the west? Their housing provides them with what they need to survive.
Cave man like grouping? Are you completely uneducated? I doubt you even have the slightest grasp of anthropology. You're just quoting random crap based on your "tv education". What is 'cave man like grouping'? They just look like a bunch of humans to me. Their 'grouping' is no different than any group of people you'll find anywhere in the world. Especially when encountering something scary/new/intriguing as a group.

Not gonna flame you or really disagree. I think what's being missed is that people who lend themselves towards the bleeding heart side prefer these people to remain ignorant without realizing that it will likely lead to the extinction of that group over time.
The flip side is that these people may very well be happy simply because they are ignorant of the rest of the world. There's nothing saying that civilization will make them happier in fact look around it tends to give people too much free time to feel sorry for themselves.

Reality is defined by your brain and if they see their way as correct it's not our business to force our ideals on them. At same you can't say modern technological society is wrong because when you say "wrong" that's subjective to your belief.

That's a poor example. I have access to everything he had in order to get to where he is now. I could go to university and study engineering and astrophysics as well and become a NASA engineering chief if I so desired.

The odds of aliens visiting earth is so low, Even if a space ship was designed to travel 75% of the speed of light, One the size and mass of the space shuttle would require at least 683 ZJ to get to that speed. In comparison the entire energy consumption of the earth is .5 ZJ
Its not impossible its just the odds of it happening are very slim. It would require a very small space craft made of a very light yet strong material,with a fuel cell with at least 1,500 ZJ incase of emergencies and to be able to return home. It would also need a very limited amount of lifeforms on board,at the most maybe 4.

OFC they won't use our technology,but the energy amount would still be high.They would have to develop a energy cell that can hold over 1 billion times more energy then the current energy cells we have now.
