Hello there,
I just joined this community in search of help. I'm in a rough spot right now where my career is threatened by someone who hates me. One of my co-workers has pretended to be someone else on dating sites and is now trying to blackmail me with some nudes he claims he has.
I'm kinda desperate, so I would appreciate any kind of help you guys could give.

Blackmail is crime in most countries, go to police or get legal help. In any case this forum is not the place to get legal advice.
 
What if I would hire a white hat hacker to delete all data on his device?
My boss says I'm paranoid, and police won't be of much help since I don't have real proof of the blackmailing. He's being subtle about it.
Thank you for your advice, guys. I should just walk away, and I would if I weren't stuck at the moment. So I'll consider risking to get scammed and lose some money if there's a chance I could make this go away so that I will be able to just go to work and focus on work for once.
 
Blackmail is 100% illegal so you need to report it, don't try to take matters into your own hands.
