I was testing some comments to advertise some of my new projects and found out that reddit and youtube got even harsher with shadowing/banning:

1. Youtube always blocks links i wasn't surprised at that, but now reddit whenever you'd put a link on your comment 90% cases it will be shadow banned
2. If you start writing your comment and you just put the bare domain in the comment, for example, "I was reading manga at discord.gg it's one of better sites" it will again be shadowed
3. If you again put comment from 2. and you remove the link they automatically put on your comment (when you wrote your domain) it will still shadow it
4. If you put only "website i can recommend you is discord gg, they're the best tbh" for example it won't be shadow banned
5. The more your account grows the more it will let you leave links
6. Your account doesn't gets entirely shadow banned, only that specific comment gets shadowed

Youtube:

1. If course it won't let you post links
2. If you try to put "You can check out discord.gg, one of better sites tbh" it will automatically make a link and on top of that automatically shadow your comment
3. If you try any bold fonts and such stuff your comment gets automatically shadowed
4. If you try to just get your domain off "You can check out discord gg, one of better sites" it still won't be enough, why?
Because 5. Instead of domain, the problem is the words you put in comments "check out" and "Free" are just two of i reckon bunch of words that are out there that youtube will shadow your account for.

Anyway, i am cracking the code for youtube/reddit for already a hour checking what works what not, so if you know for more words that shadow ban the comments please leave them and your findings in comments if you want to do so.

Also seems it's mostly problem with advertising words

this is a great thread keep us updated on any new words you find get you shadow banned.

build out a list showing 10 or so words and keep building it im sure more will find it useful

I once dropped a comment recommending a tool for creators that was not of money, thinking it was harmless.

Turns out, the word got my entire comment shadow banned instantly!

No links, no fancy formatting just that one word.

I had to rephrase to avoid trigger words d instead say something like "I found a useful tool" to get my comment through. It's wild!

Yeah and funny thing is it gets triggered only on that one comment, not your all comments will be shadowbanned, i used dm account for 4 hours yesterday testing what wods get shadow banned and which ones not, just to avoid them

I don't get shadowbanned or banned from any of my accounts but the stick rate of the comments is really bad these days (Reddit)

I'm interested in your tests. Keep us updated.

wdym by stick?

I have a comment that got ghosted for "A similar one is available" with the link and a small description of an animated character and the software it works with. No other trigger words or CTA type words.

I notice Chase doesn't any more reply to people I think, and he used to boss it, replying to every comment, every day!

He still puts links in descriptions, though It's worth looking at his marketing effort on YouTube.

i don't know who that is, though any comment with link in it unless you're the creator of the video himself will get shadowed

he changed his videos to saying "reply with the word AI" and I'll know to keep making these videos. Which is different than saying reply with ai, and I will send you a link. (this will get ghosted obviously, and he knows it now)

Also seems to work having a pinned comment at the top of your video.

You can leave comment links in your community posts. Just so you guys that are getting your channel comments ghosted when you try and leave links know.

Make a post about your latest content, and ask them all to reply with a keyword for more info in the post screenshot thumbnail. Then reply with your link after they do.
