Blackhole on earth.

The end of the world prophecies I know are all of full of shit because.. seriously.. common sense? No one's going to predict the end of the world.

However.. when people intentionally do things that could cause world wide effects.. that's a different story. The effects that LHC could produce aren't doomsday conspirators but just normal people thinking "Why in the hell would you want to do that?"

I'm not a man of science but I do find science interesting. I'm just saying.. if you start spinning matter/particles/whatever it is they're going to spin 17 miles below the earth at the speed of light.. it's probably not going to be pretty. There's just some things in the universe and in science period that were never meant to be explored by man.

The problem isn't the scientists, it's the so-called journalists that write this tripe, the people or corporations that publish it, and the fact that most of the public are scientifically illiterate. They aren't trying to recreate the big bang, they're trying to look for particles that were present during the big bang. The distinction is so broad that if it were being accurately reported by the media and over the apparently editor-less internet, their wouldn't be any confusion. They're going to be performing a number of experiments they've never been able to do before, including some testable unified theory hypotheses.

The reason? In a world that understands the physical properties of it's underlying structure, new energy sources are abound. That same world is also able to build faster processors to perform the billions or trillions of calculations necessary to do even the most basic, modern medical research. Cancer? Did you know that the foundational ideas necessary for one of the most popular, emerging combative techniques against cancer were essentially created by physicists, not biologists?

The answer? Reading less bullshit blogs and newspapers and more text books and peer-reviewed journals.

My guess is we'll eventually create robots to do everything for us.. and some moron will think creating robots build specifically for war will be a genius idea and they all will turn on us. That's my doomsday's prophecy theory.
Yeah, then some douche bag will create a botnet called skynet.

I can't remember...didn't Tesla say he understood the UFT? Could they be testing what he proposed?

ec..that was what I was thinking. "we don't know who struck first, but.."

All who are afraid of the Hardon Collider, should read this - http://www.cracked.com/article_16583_5-scientific-experiments-most-likely-end-world.html There are more scarier things ahead of us.

I saw/read about this a month or so ago, and there was a link to a bunch of large, detailed pics of this thing. It's crazy to see just how big it is, and all the wires and such. Would be a NIGHTMARE to conceptualize/plan/fix/etc, I couldn't even imagine.. anyways, check these pics out:

Also, there was a pic of something the Japanese are working on, that is just as crazy/weird, Here's the text that goes along with it's pic:

An incredible photo (click for a really large version) of the Large Helical Device in Japan built to test plasma fusion confinement. Translation: This is the beginning of what you need to have your own little star right here on planet earth? Without actually making our little blue marble into a star.

I think the scientist at LHC may try to save the world from the polar shift in December 2012. They have 4 year to explain why it happen and what will occur to the earth.

I just saw a BBC Documentary about this last night... The scientist said the odds of it destroying the earth are "Very Low".... Ummmm..... I'd rather it be 0%, "Very Low" is tooo high for me.

FFS.. that is one thing I am sick of hearing about.. there's no shift in 2012, there's no meteor in 2012, there's no anything in 2012.. it will just be another year.

Ah, so THIS is where HaRRo got that idea.

Yeah, I already created one of these. I use it to create a tractor beam which brings me my remote control when I don't feel like getting up.

It works pretty well, although my dog now seems to be growing a second head.

I think there was also thing that world would end in 2002.
omfg I'm still alive :D

lol Harro.

There's an ad on there right below "will kill us dead in""

Kids Magazines In Science
Magazines that explain to kids how the world works one topic at a time."

Freaking CLASSIC.
