hello everyone,
I am newbie in IM, but i gathered a lot of information from this forum and google. But i can find the difference between blackhat and whitehat.
Could anyone explain me?
Thanks in advance!

There is a thread on the forum explaining that VERY WELL.
But to help you, the resume is : Black Hat -> Immoral(multiple accounts, bots, fake traffic) // WhiteHat -> Moral

Its almost the same as both involve link building. But what is commonly referred to as whitehat is unsolicited linking.

Whitehat choose to abide by the rules that the search engines set forth in order to build a long lasting high rank for their clients. Hard work and time is what they rely on to be the right and durable ways to increase rank.
Blackhat choose to break the search engines' rules in an attempt to trick them and gain rank quickly, where as blackhat is a quick technique used for getting high ranking in google.

Well, the difference between black hat and white hat is that white hat generally sticks to whatever quality guidelines

Google has.

Also, black hat involves pushing the envelope as far as link generation and bending the rules go.

This involves creating all sorts of accounts and buying and selling links, that kind of thing.

White hat, generally speaking, tends to stay away from that and falls a more within the range of practices Google

condones.

With that said, a lot of this distinction is actually kind of illusory.

If you are going to go strictly by Google's definition of how it expects links to materialize all over the internet,

then pretty much anything, any practice that involves purposeful or intentional efforts to create links is black hat.

In my mind, this is really a question of degree, not necessarily quality.

Whitehat is more "evergreen" and natural. Blackhat is usually based around strategies that are completely manipulative and game the system.

Whitehat has more staying power and is more difficult. Blackhat has the potential to be flagged/suspended/banned and come crumbling down.

FUCKING WRONG!

You can promote shitty/dangerous products with whitehat methods. Is it moral?

You can promote good/useful offers with blackhat methods? Is it immoral?

And if you use black hat methods to help a fundraising for a charity cause, is it immoral?

Blackhat or Whitehat, it is what you see and how you see it. For Google, any kind of linkbuilding is Blackhat or outright illegal where we are constantly trying to game the system. So, go figure.

Black Hat is "Machiavellian", so to speak, and games the system. White Hat tactics are ethical and legal within the realm of SEO. I tend to use White Hat techniques. Maybe that is why my growth is so slow.

The method is immoral.
The goal you want to achieve has nothing to do with this.
If you use BlackHat method it is immoral because people usually use the legal way or moral way.

If you steal to feed your family, you can't say that stealing is moral nor good.

Has ZERO to do with morals.

Things that "game the system" and try to externally influence things in your favor, such as link building, are considered blackhat. Passive strategies that play 100% by the rulebook, which means NO linkbuilding, are considered whitehat. For you noobs I'll list a few examples and which they are...

Linkbuilding (of any type): Blackhat

On-site Optimization: Whitehat

Back-click Jackers: Blackhat

Fake Reviews: Blackhat

Posting Quality Content On Your Blog: Whitehat

Building Your Facebook Page: Whithat

Buying Facebook Followers: Blackhat

SEO Press Releases: Blackhat

Product Launch Press Releases: Whitehat

PPC: Whitehat

Buying Traffic: Blackhat

Indexing Pages With Index Services: Blackat

301ing Powerful Domains To Your Site For Rank Gain: Blackhat

Optimizing Your Site For Speed: Whitehat

............Are you guys seeing where I'm going here?

You are a restaurant, you know nothing about internet marketing, you put your restaurant on TripAdvisor and it gets great reviews and you are in top 10 of Rome's restaurants.
Then, a guy who has a shitty restaurant is going to pay FAKE REVIEWS, to rank up, and be on top of the guy who has real reviews.
The man with the good restaurant goes on top 20 because some people bought reviews and has less clients.

So now tell me how a man who does a good job gets f****ed by some smart ass who use BlackHat method finds it moral ?
There is not only Google.
When you create fake traffic and you try to sell your website more than his real value ?
There are plenty examples, if you don't think it's immoral, I don't know why I bother answering.

Whitehat is when you for example promote real content , blackhat when you promote fake content (it's only example)

Thank you all a lot! You helped me so much!
