Hey guys I'm just wondering what your opinion is on Adwords ads vs buying blackhat views. I'm trying to build a legitimate community channel, not so much rank for one specific video. However, I would like good ranking videos to for subscriber leads.
I've found a lot of good things about doing it "legit" promoting through Youtube itself I want to hear the good aspects of buying say 5k High Retention (or 50k...) views.
So for Adwords after a quick test I found that you can do some really deep targeting on youtube. You have to go off site to adwords. Otherwise the youtube promote feature is hilariously bad. I promoted one of my videos using the In Description and stopped in-stream. So it only shows up in the sidebar like a suggested video, or at the top of search for chosen keywords. For cheap high quality traffic I only targeted similar channels to mine or related keywords.
Basically what I got:
$1 for 50 views
Extremely targeted traffic that actually is interested in the video
Only pay if they watch more than 30 seconds of the video
Safe view source
Subscribers and people going through my channel
Ok so that's it for the legit way. I want to know, would for example spending $10 on each new video be better spent with High Retention views doing the unlisted method? For my niche the average video gets about 1.5k views, if it's a important vid on a channel it may hit like 10k, and videos on the general entry KW into the niche has about 100k-300k views. Is 20k HR views overkill and actually a flag? Will the burst of disinterested botlike HR views bump it high enough on the search rankings and cause enough organic traffic to outweigh the benefits above?
