BlackHat Success: Never give up!

Further to Edison and Tesla:

Later, Edison used to "fry" dogs in public with alternating current electricity demos that "proved" a/c was more dangerous than his direct current. (He also suggested the "electric chair" as an execution method to discredit the competing a/c power.) If he had his way there would have been tens of thousands Edison Co. d/c generating stations throughout North America supplying spotty power to it's cities.

Fortunately the extreme practicality of a/c was realized and a/c generators and systems designed or refined by Tesla are our electrical system today. He also invented the (a/c) electric motor used in everything from alarm clocks to city buses. His foray into a/c power was to result in millions of dollars in royalties from Westinghouse, but they didn't pay Tesla either. He died broke!

Still....lots of good advice here!

Hi, this post is very informative; however I would like some specific information. If someone can help me then please send me a private message. Best Regards,

I love that quote at the bottom. There's another one that I've always really liked that's similar.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Calvin Coolidge
30th president of US (1872 - 1933)

It's funny. I woke up this morning at 1 a.m.. I studied IM until I left for work. Worked until 5 and now I'm home. It's 9:15pm and I'm still going because I can't stop. I see such a future in this amazing land called the internet.

I hope that qualifies as persistent Mr. President.

just give up after u see your mom or wife is very angry..

as they will get fedup to see you have no guranteed monthly income and struggling to compete with 100 000 other blackhat webmasters..

first secure your basic food house rent and other bills..

blackhat whitehat.. adult or mainstream.. there is no easy money and making 1k or 10k a day is big false claim.. whoever is making 1k or 10k a day... is never getting paid..cpa arent idiots.. and google adsense as well.. they wont just give away 10k a day to a person sitting infront of a pc.. even the top web revolution creators like xrumer bookmarkingdemon etc isnt making 1k or 10k a day.. even they suppose made a few days when launch.. the softwares will quickly get oversaturated and non working and they wont make any more 1k-10k a day..

the main problem with web business is its alway changing .. what works now wont work tomorrow.. and its over saturated.. information travels like rapidfire and just 1 person speaks it loud and everybody hears it fast and all the secrets quickly gets exposed to millions..

Great thread.

Ruck: I really appreciate your posts. They're coherent and inspiring with some nice details.

Diabolik: I'm a Tesla fan as well.

Best,

Sounds like Edison was a master at #7 of the 48 Laws of Power:

"Get Others to do the work for you, but always take the credit"

I guess that law was meant for him!

Great post! I totally agree never give up however sometimes you need to change direction. I've been doing this about 2 years + now and have seen a lot of people come and go in this business. And I'll be honest and up front and tell you some people just aren't cut out for blackhat seo and that's the bottom-line.

Now I know I might be shattering peoples dreams here and putting doubt into your mind but you really need to sit down and ask yourself some hard questions.

1. do I want to learn about things like DNS, Server management, Apache
2. do I want to learn how to code?
3. do I have a lot of time to learn this stuff

The mis-nomer is blackhat seo is EASY money. That's as far form the truth as you can possibly get. Now that's not to say that some peice of software won't come along that will make you a 50-100$ a day for a short time until it gets killed. That's possilbe on occasion. But rather I'm talking about the long haul and making REAL money in this business.

Now maybe you answered no to some of those questions and that's ok but I invite you to re-adjust your strategy. In the long run you're much better off making whitehat sites. The real money in blackhat is building automation system on very large scales. Automated domain registrations, keyword hunting, link spaming, site generating, server management and the list goes on. All needs to be automated to do things correctly.

There's a lot of money in whitehat as well. You can put up a nice whitehat blog in 2-3 hours that with a little expertise can make you 50-75$ a year. Now you free places like blogger and aol journals and you have no investment cost just time. These aren't going to get banned and will usually last a long time. Just make sure that blackhat is the best strategy for you is all I'm saying and Good luck.

Here is a twist to the Edison/Telsa story. I read this about 25 years ago. It seems when NY state was thinking of building the Niagra Falls hydro dam they decided that dc generators would not work. DC current wouldn't transmit all the way to New York City. Edison's solution was to install huge air compressors and pipe compressed air to NYC. Edison's idea was to intall small electrical generators inside each building ran from air motors. Westinghouse with the help of Telsa proved that AC current could be transmitted that far. And hence we have AC power everywhere today. If Edison had treated Telsa right, we may today have had compressed air as an utility to our houses and businesses the same as natural gas.
