Great post...very inspiring...Now time to get back to work to make "today" count

I was feeling pretty miserable today, with my skills and knowledge, still finding it hard to make money on the internet. Then I read this post.... I feel more miserable than ever!

I know all these rules... which makes it worse for me...

1. Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life
I always know that anything result/experience is because of ME. That's just standard where I'm coming from.

2. Live Your Life On Purpose
I sit infront of my pc day-in, day-out, learning, working, building, updating... etc.

3. Be Willing to Pay the Price
I've always paid a hefty price, gone without food, without sleep, without a social life,...

4. Stay Focused
Focus is my middle name. I used to meditate as a kid, so this is simple for me.

5. Become An Expert in Your Field
Some or should I say a lot of family, friends, acquaintences seek me out for *advice*... I can't be bothered sometimes...

6. Write Out a Plan for Achieving Your Goals
This one for me is the best as I've had good results, BUT, it's keeping this one going that eludes me.

7. Never Give Up
I don't think I have, I've always maintained my aim and still *working* on it... wanted to give up many times but find myself back on the 'treadmill' of my dreams.

8. Don?t Delay
Now this one is a bit tricky. I take action straight away, and then put it aside for a bit... a bit longer... and I'm onto something else... pah!

Maybe I need a mentor to guide me, or a good woman behind me.

I also wear a yellow 'Lance Armstrong' wristband and the message on that band

just figure out exactly what you want to do and the rest is all useless. if you don't know what you're doing you'll be "learning" a year from now, 2 years and not making any money. don't try and reinvent the wheel and what you would buy others might not. thats what i've learned, and keep it simple

Actually, Edison was a thief who paid people to invent things...then he'd take credit and leave them penniless. Read about Nikola Tesla.

During his employment, Edison offered Tesla $50,000 (equivalent to about $1 million today, adjusted for inflation)[25] if he redesigned Edison's inefficient motor and generators, an improvement in both service and economy.[20]:54-57 Tesla said he worked night and day to redesign them and gave the Edison company several profitable new patents in the process. During the year of 1885, when Tesla inquired about the payment on the work, Edison replied to him, "Tesla, you don't understand our American humor," and reneged on his promise.[26][27] Tesla resigned when he was refused a raise to $25 per week. At Tesla's salary of $18 per week, the bonus would have amounted to over 53 years pay, and the amount was equal to the initial capital of the company.[28] Tesla eventually found himself digging ditches for a short period of time ? ironically for the Edison company.
