Edison was a great man, thanks for bring the topic up. We would all be reading by candle light if it weren't for him!
Another great qoute is
Not being a pedant, although i am one, but the quote is
"What the mind of man can think and believe, it can achieve." - It was Napoleon Hill for those that are quote lovers, like me!
As or Edison, it actually went as follows and in a rather cool way was in fact told to all by Napoleon Hill.
In an interview, a rather awe-struck, interviewer, said,
"It's an honour to meet someone as successful as you Mr Edison, did you ever believe you could be this successful?"
Edison replied, "Success? I am the biggest failure the world has ever known. In the creation of the light bulb i failed 10,000 times. I failed so many times i would have had to have eventually cretaed the bulb, because therre were no more ways left to fail".
Good eh?
I'll fish out my little quotes list later and post them here, if i can find it!
Here's some of my favorites off the top of my head:
"The best advice one can ever receive, is to act on the advice that we give to others." - No idea who this waa
"Choosing not to try, because of the fear of failure, is surely choosing failure through not trying a all." - Can't remember who said this, but have a feeling it was Charles F Abbott
"There are no short cuts to any place worth going." - Henry Ford
