hi guys,

I was doing some research on blackhat backlinks and I came across some sites that backlinks from maybe paid sites,
from their "contacts" page,

in their contacts page there'll be a google map iframe which embeds their shop's location,
in which within their "iframe" DIV (CSS), they hide the backlinks to their main site,

I have seen alot, what are you thoughts on this?
will google catch up to this and it seems to be ranking the site pretty good! raking in $$$

if you "view source" and search for "123movies" you'll see the code but on the "contacts" page you won't visibly see it unless you "inspect" the gmap area on your browser,

holy, is this an old tactic that's still usable?

What your thoughts guys?

Maybe not the nicest thing to post someone’s link that on a “black hat” forum. You might end up causing them to get in trouble with G.

I know I would be pissed if someone did that to one of my sites.

Website does not look legit.

Seems it was just recreated for the purpose of getting link.

I wish the owner of that domain is not a member of BHW, but good job you did catch that, I think it's embeded in the theme code, so everyone who use this theme will get him a back link to his website.

oh, that's very very observant of you @s.omar,

I mean giving away free theme really DOES come with a price!
with a g.map div embed linking back to your site dude, that would be priceless!

and I think google won't be catching on anytime soon. maybe the programmer can change the backlinks using backdoor.

I have seen a lot of people do this, offer free themes, free plugins, but they use you as a backlink, and also I have seen it here in BHW, some membre asked abou this, and the answer was "if Google catch you and it will, you domain is black listed"

I would say that people who use these kind of tactics aren't really concern about getting "black-listed" they'll just rinse and repeat,
in the mean time when they're not being caught they'll be raking in the $$$$ to cover all that is worth it.

it's called "black" hat for a reason though.
