Blackhat ad clicking

Im quite curious whether people still can trick the adcompanies or not.

Some people run these "ad clickers" in botnets that automatically click their own website's ads. But as far as I know it is normal for Google adsense for example, to gain 3% clicks out of your traffic. So 100 unique visitors will bring you about 3 clicks on the ads.

So to accomplish this, they have to drive extra traffic and also fake the clicks by altering the referrals, time stayed on website etc. to look real.

Average gross income: 3000 Clicks x 0.2 = $600
Costs: 100 000 Extra traffic costs about $100, and the clicks for about 0.05 each = $150
Profit $350, if your account does not get closed because they can probably also see peaks in driven traffic.

So in the above example, botnets would be used to click the ads and it is quite risky and illegal.

But what if someone does not use bots, but codes a tool that clicks this locally and automates everything using proxies for the performed clicks.
Do you think this is even possible nowadays? I see nobody speaking about this.

If it is possible, it's not worth it. You will likely get caught eventually. I would spend time focusing on more legitimate and long term methods of earning money.

this is something everyone thinks about - and maybe it worked a few years ago -- but you got to ask yourself - if your in this for the long haul - for years to come - is it worth it to get $500 and then get banned -- or should you be doing it properly and get paid for years to come.

really this is just a short term pie in the sky -- don't do it.

Fraud isn't ever right, and it certainly won't work long. Many advertisers share conversion data with Google. Once they see that 0% of your traffic converts, you're done.

Its not worth it, especially if you want to be in this game for a long time.

Is it not worth it because of the ROI or is it not worth it because its "wrong/bad" ?

I did it way back before AdSense existed and never got caught, but I can tell you it's very easy to detect. Between not having any conversions, having proxies get detected as proxies, etc you're going to raise flags and get terminated. When MSN first came out with their Ads I made a fucking KILLING doing arbitrage between them and AdSense, but got banned. For a while, if it could have gotten me unbanned I'd have given all the money back to get that account again.

You will need some decent proxies - yes, bots are a piece of piss to put together but any decent network will know a proxy click apart from a proper click.

Like others have said, it may work for the first payment and then the door will be slapping you in the ass as they throw you out.

I do believe the real term for this is called click fraud and yes it is east to get caught and really not worth
the short term gain

But yes, it is better to earn that money legit, you will sleep better if you aren't afraid of getting caught 24/7
