Very basically any form of off page where you're buying/trading links can be classed as Blackhat.

There's several different shades of hat, ranging from off white to pitch black though.

A lot on here are greyish, but it depends on what you're looking for, is it your own site requirements or a client, oh and your budget.

But please, can you explain how (regular)Black hat is different from (pitch)Black hat?

Buying links is black hat.

Cloaking, using SAPE, re-directs , hacks, hidden text, back doors etc is the real black type of things.
