Hi everyone

I have had a blog up for about a month now. It is a 100% legit, manual blog that I have put a lot of work into. The only problem: no traffic. Zero. Nada.

I've decided to use some black hat methods to promote it but am just worried about the chances of it getting "boxed" by google and other search engines, seeing as it is relatively new. What is the recommended dosage of black hat to give to a sick, ailing blog with 0 traffic?

Do I pay for 50 backlinks using Angela's method or do I post 10 000 spammy comments on other blogs?

Man no offense but how in the hell are you getting no traffic? I've had an autoblog up for four days now and just by posting the articles on twitter and manually getting about 20 juicy backlinks I'm already indexed and getting about 100UVs a day.

I'm inclined to say don't pay anything until you get at least SOME natural traffic going.

Thanks for the reply laundry.

How do you go about getting those "juicy" backlinks?

Real simple, check out the link building section for some juicy sites. It's as simple as finding a blog with a high PR that doesn't moderate comments (these are the ones you see with a million "cheap viagra" comments, or are posted in link building ), put your keywords (i.e. Buy Cheap Viagra) as the "Name", and put your URL in the URL box. Now the search engines see a link for Buy Cheap Viagra, coming from this website they see as awesome, going to you, so you must be pretty awesome too.

That's the free method, the link building section is an absolute treasure trove and backlinks are the key to success.

Wow!

You're a godsend! Thank you so much. I pledge to go forth and spread my wild blackhat oats of spammy goodness on all kinds of blogs.
About the twitter side of things, how effective is it promoting articles on it? How many followers do you need in order for it to be successful?

And also, what is a "juicy" site?

Juicy is a laundrysoap (tm) term for something that is popular, has high PR, gets lots of traffic, whatever. I have about six followers on twitter (my efforts of following the popular folks to get followers failed hard) and I still get traffic a couple minutes after I post a tweet. People search by and watch hashtags (the #whatever in a tweet) a lot so I like to use a lot of relevant hashtags.

hey laundry soap .. what do you mean search by hash tags and how do you incorperate this into say an auto twitter plugin?
