Hi, I would like to bought a VPS in order to run black hat seo tools like scrapebox. What versions of Windows can I use? Is Windows Server 2008 Web edition enough? Suggestion?

Well, it totally depends upon the black hat tools you are going to install and run on windows server. You need to check the windows versions supported by those black hat tools.

For scrapebox, you need windows server 2003, Give rackspace cloud a try, setting up a server is super easy, and you only pay for what you use, you can 'break down' your server at any time, and also restore it from a server image. (your IP will change when restoring from an image, so you need to get a fresh license key from scrapebox - just email them and you can get a new one)

Hope this helps

So, Is it better Windows 2003 Web Edition than 2008 R2 Web edition? What if I bought a vps with 512 MB RAM? I will only run one tool per time (not concurrent for the moment), in particulary ScrapeBox.

I'd go with Windows 2003, it needs alot less memory than 2008. Besides isn't 2003 vps way cheaper ?

Some vps vendors offer the 2008 version at the same price of the older one. What about update, is Windows 2003 fully support with fresh patch?
