    Hi all

I know I have mentioned it before but I would just like to say how amazing you guys are as a community. I have learned an incredible amount through my time here by reading the selfless and inspirational posts written by many a member of Black Hat World. What a generous bunch you are!

As much as I have learned, I still feel there is much, much more out there. As of this moment, I have not yet seriously embarked on a Black Hat venture. This brings me to the purpose of this post.

I'm looking for a member willing to take me under their wing, allowing me to shadow them in their Black Hat endeavors. This "mentorship" would take the form of me effectively working for or with you and would be maintained through instant messenger chats and/or emails. I would not necessarily require payment for my work although it would be nice :)

As a mentee, I can offer you decent writing and website-building skills for free, until I have learned enough to provide you with sufficient value that my position might become a paid one. I have a Host Gator account and know the basics of WordPress. Additionally I have a small amount of money I'm willing to put into hosting costs. Lastly, I have copious amounts of free time and so am available throughout the day.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't bother trying to find a mentor, unless your paying some serious cash ($x,xxx+/month), then the chances are, your just being taught how to be used to make money off. Just took a look at what you said you can do, if you've got the free time, start article marketing while building backlinks though the articles to your website promoting product [x].

The more articles you write, the more traffic you'll get, make sure you try to rank for some longtail keywords and your articles are infact getting views/clicks, then it's just a matter of time before you see some sales!

    Thanks for your reply Alex!

Excuse the gaping holes in my knowledge, but there are a few terms in your post I would like some clarification on.

By "article marketing" do you mean writing content for websites such as eHow and Helium, and then inserting links to my site in those articles?
Also, what exactly are "longtail" keywords?

Lastly, where would you recommend a beginner with no connections look for easy affiliates?
