only direct contact and if the guy has a Gmail address, try and negotiate through a non-Google service (MSN or so...)
I know I'm a bit paranoid, but if you want to keep your website and not lose you investment, just be careful
If Google was reading your emails they would be breaching their privacy policies and would be in big trouble.
