We are looking for a black-hat (or at least dark-gray) expert for a test we are running on a site we control. The domain is about a year old, in English, and hosted in the US. The single keyphrase has an SEOMOZ Keyword Difficulty score of 55%. At the end of the project a summary of methods used will be required. We'll be comparing techniques and results to white hat methods used on a sister site. The test will run for 30 days, but the results must stick for at least a year. Interested? Convince us of your worthiness. :)

Let me understand you correctly, you want someone to basically provide BH offsite SEO for you and then once complete to provide you with all the methods used?

I assume you will be paying upfront?

    Are you serious?

You realize every time a competitor gets pissed that your ranking they will keep building and building. Also, suddenly stopping after 30 days is a high indicator of spam and likely to result in penalty.

Your also not accounting for basic variables such as if links fail to stick for >30days diminishing value. Google implemented this to hinder link buyers by making it more costly to use paid links. Unless your prepared to some serious cash I would not expect anyone to share their methods with you.

For people like me who own internet marketing firms our methods are worth quite a considerable sum.

A SEO-company (including mine) will provide you with a detailed report of the results. However, we will never give up the methods we use. Also, as demon is writing, there is no way to guarantee that the position in the SERPs will remain the same, not even if we would work full time with your project for a year.

Demon, SweTech, Pinkbitz - this is a test to see if the methods used will work for dozens of clients by doing a short-term test on one. It's effectively vendor and method selection via A/B testing. If the methods stick after a year then we're firing on all cylinders. As for methods used, we wouldn't necessarily need to know all the details - thus the 'summary'. But we need to know generally what is done b/c there are certain specific methods clients don't want used that we are contractually bound to avoid - everybody read the NYT article so they're suddenly experts. Anyhow, I humbly thank you all for your insights. I think we found someone to help out via this forum. Thank you BHW.
