I use bitly.com to shorter my clickbank affiliate url, today i realise that it was deleted so i send my traffic to a beautifull page with the beautiful message:

STOP - there might be a problem with the requested link

Does anyone know this issue ? what's the problem with clickbank url ? Does anyone can recommand me a bitly alternative ?

Thanks !

I don't know why, but yes they block clickbank urls. use another link shortener or set up your own with one of the free scripts that float around.

They block suspicious, spammy, well-known affiliate links for quite some time now. Users have to confirm to visit the page, an extra step that is not worth it. It kills click through. I bet a lot of people just cancel.

Buy a domain and use your own redirector. Easy, simple, and more reliable.

Or, if you still want to stick with the url shorteners, use Tiny Url. Works every time for me.

yes but i didn't ant to leave footprint with the same url everywhere ...

Its not that.... It is the big long ass CB hoplink with 14 numbers and shit at the end that makes it spammy.

Try checking the product page and see if they have an affiliates page link its usually a link at the bottom of the sales page. They sometimes provide an option to an alternate affiliate url that you only need to add your CB id to. It is nowhere near as spammy and looks nothing like a CB hoplink. It may pass bitlys restrictictions but am not for sure. Not all CB products have one either.

Check that out and let us know.... Might help others in the same boat as you.

You can create a short PHP script to redirect urls....install it on some of your hosts and you'll have your own url "shortener".

I know butone again, i don't want to let footprint

use link collider it will hide your traffic source and it shorten any url

Disregard my previous post because I checked it out and it does not work anymore... sorry was trying to help.

I have seen a lot of affiliates having bitly problems so just keep away from it. Use scrapebox built in mass url shortener. It works like a charm.
