Bitcoin will come to Zero by 2027

we don’t even have stable quantum machines that can run longer than my phone battery

if quantum ever gets that powerful, your email password will get cracked way before bitcoin does :)
 
They've already moved this date to 2039 or something like that.
In any case, I doubt that a quantum computer can do anything for Bitcoin. It's something mystical.
 
honestly, their simple rules let them "survive" even with AI "boom" for last years lol
 
But Quantum Computers are already here. Just not available to the public.

So why Wallets not get drained?
 
No it won't haha, I don't believe it.
I belive that it will only go up and up. Bitcoin was always 'unstable,' but we always saw big ups. Lets all hope it will have another leap soon enough

Does anyone know if there are any ongoing efforts to develop quantum-resistant cryptography or wallet solutions that could help mitigate potential risks in the future?

That seems distant now seeing current conditions. This year could be bearish for crypto now.

I want to believe that it's definitely possible to achieve a new height within months or 1-2 years at most, until we see another stabilization for some time.

Like all the crypto Mcap to be like zero?
 
there will always be a use for crypto. it will never hit zero

doesnt mean bitcoin will hit 500k

yeah this comes up every few years, but the timelines are always way too aggressive
even if quantum becomes a real threat, it wouldn’t just drain wallets overnight without warning
bitcoin can adapt if needed, and markets usually price in risk early
it’s something to watch long term, but a sudden wipeout like that is very unlikely anytime soon
 
If there are quantum computers, banks will fall first
all will switch to metals (gold & silver)
back in the old ages

No, that's not going to happen. Google Quantum AI paper that came out recently shows that future quantum computers might eventually crack the kind of encryption Bitcoin and Ethereum use, but they're talking about machines with hundreds of thousands of qubits working perfectly , something we don't have anywhere close to right now. Current quantum computers are tiny and super noisy, nowhere near what they need to actually break anything.

Only old wallets where the public key has already been revealed (like reused addresses) could be in danger. As long as you haven't spent from a fresh cold wallet, you're fine for now. Blockchains have upgraded their security before and can easily switch to stronger post-quantum encryption well ahead of any real threat.

No, crypto won't go to zero. Networks will just upgrade to quantum-resistant cryptography long before these computers become a real threat, so active wallets will remain safe.
