Hmm.
Seems like this is one of those times where you can boom if you are right or bust if you are wrong.
The way I see it, there are a few ways to play this:
Assumptions:
1) BTC is severely pumped right now, and will be due for a correction after the hard fork.
2) Only one out of BTC or BTC2X will survive and be worth a damn (the market and miners will decide).
Based on those assumptions, here are the posslble strategies:
High Risk High Reward Strategy: Bet that the confusion and chaos doesn't crash the market for too long, and buy alts at low prices a few days before the hard fork. Get the satoshi multipliers from alts rising, and when BTC recovers from the correction, you win.
Safe Strategy: Exit the crypto market completley a few day sbefore the hard fork at bitcoin all time high, and watch what happens. When and if market shows signs of recovery, reenter at lower prices.
No Strategy: Do neither and just hold BTC. Get BTC 2X. One will die off, but you are guaranteed to have the winner. Suffer a possible period of correction where your portfolio is bleeding, but remain optimistic that it will bounce back. (it seems to me like this strategy has the highest risk and least reward)
I'm trying to decide between the first two strategies.
Let's discuss this. Anyone challenge my assumptions? Anyone have any additional strategies? What are you doing?
