Hey guys,

Not been on for a long time due to health BS, but I have a question: How do I open a bitcoin account for general transactions (best company to use, etc etc). I'm not looking to invest, just to use for purchasing etc.

Many thanks,

James :)

For just buying stuff with Bitcoin, check out Coinbase or Bybit. Super easy to use. Just sign up, verify your ID, and you can start buying or sending Bitcoin. They've got apps too, so you can do everything from your phone. Super straightforward

P.S :- Avoid binance for as per the current binance compliance situation.

Thanks!

You can use one of many CEXs, availability depends on which country you’re based in. Personally I’ve been using CoinBase and Binance.

I hope your health is fine now. You can create an account in Coinbase to trade crypto. They need KYC verification for exchange. You can also buy verified accounts, but if it's a personal or whitehat account, then you can do kyc with your docs.

Something like Binance is fine, or you can use just their wallet such as Trust or Meta. You can buy major cryptos from the wallet itself aswell with ease.

Thanks everyone. Some great tips there. Binance seems to crop up a lot. I'll start there...

Buy a wallet for yourself

Ledger nano x is good for you. Keep your coins safe and secure.
