Bitcoin is "crashing" ... right now.

The real crash is a decline more than 50% in a few days. That happened two times before in May and the previous year. Right now it's only 15%. If ppl really want BTC, it will rebound back. We'll see if Bitcoin pass or fail this test.

I'll take my money to Vegas, at least there they'll comp me some drinks!

There was the same thread a few months ago claiming bitcoins were crashing because it went down from $80 to $40 overnight, i really wish i had money to invest back then.

Well, if your investment were to halve in value overnight, I'd say that was a crash.

It has dropped quite a bit since only 24 hrs ago it was over $1,300 USD and now it's approx. $400 USD less than that. I really don't care as I don't have anything invested personally, but I came across somewhat of an explanation, I guess.
A Sunday sell-off seemingly starting in China and then spreading to the Bulgarian exchange BTC-e has caused across the board carnage in many of the alt coin markets. Mt Gox was the last to succumb to the selling pressure but has now fallen to around 920, very close to the 900 support line predicted here last week. Bitcoincointalk.org has been down all day which is adding further confusion.

All that happens is it lowers my dollar-cost-average, because I buy more :)

The way I look at it: the money I have paid to get into bitcoin was money that I would have spent on a few lavish weekends away. So if all goes well, I'll get a few hundred lavish weekends away. If it goes tits up, I'll just stay home and drink beer :)

it will crash as some point like all the bubbles, probably when the price will go down it will go very fast

It is not crashing. Remember the price was little over a hundred a few weeks ago.

This happens with Bitcoin. Look at it's past.

This is a very small bubble and like every previous time it will become stronger within a few weeks :)

The price is 27.91% higher than it was a week ago. This is not a crash..

Its funny to see lakim0 posting shit in all the Bitcoin threads even though he hates it so much. He's mad he didn't invest.

Bitcoin is nowhere near its peak in price, its barely getting started. Wait till the Bitcoin ETF gets approved. TigerDirect is going to accept it, and already in China you can pay your telecom bill with it. Growing so quickly.

Why do you think that bitcoin is crashing? Bitcoin is a rising currency and those who have invested good amount in it 2 years back are now sitting on their money trees now and I wish if I were also in one of them. I plan to invest in bitcoins soon but you are saying that it is crashing. Can you tell more why is it crashing?

It amuses me significantly to hear the argument, from people who use fiat currency each and every day, that 'bitcoin is worthless because it has no real value'. Isn't that really just like a person with Religion A saying that a person with Religion B is silly?

(Yes, I'm aware of the requirement to not discuss religion on BHW, and I tried to meet that requirement by not stating any particular religion - rather, using the concept of religion merely as an analogy. Mods, if required I can redact my post, but I suspect it's ok).
