i just got this for the second time I've used my Coinbase to send bitcoin. The first time it was 4 days. Now its 7?! Why does this keep happening and is there any way to have the hold released. I thought one the main advantages of crypto was that it's fast?

Better crypto option to use for me is ripple and binance coin. This cryptos are very fast. For just 1-2 mins the money is in your account. Im not using btc anymore because deposit and receiving takes upto 12 hours sometimes

So I literally have to wait 7 days before I can send my own money? I understand like 24 hours, 48 hours even maybe, but 7 damn days in volatile market! I've gotten 2-4 days before but I thought it was just because it was a new account. Is there anything I can do? 7 days when its a currency that goes up and down in value daily....so stupid

it is a clear fraud that all l can say about it and you will be paid on what they received and if it is higher they pay for what you initailly sent to them, not worth it at all

It is not clearly fraud brother. I have been working with them for a year now, they are graphic designers/animators who have been scammed multiple times by chargebacks. Not every transaction with crypto is something fraudulent. And regardless its holding my funds from being available not sending to a certain person. I emailed their customer support and they said they will review to see if they can shorten the 7 days. They said its for security purposes. I totally am content with safety first I just think more than 48 hours let alone 7 days is just kind of ridiculous. Not very conducive to do business with crypto. I dont know I guess we will see not very optimistic though, I'll probably hear back from them in 6 days, a day before funds are available anyways. I thought a major advantage to crypto was FAST transactions. Holding on to money for 7 days in a stock market like currency doesn't make a lot of sense to me for the future of crypto. I guess I haven't done my homework though. It might be because its linked to my bank account or debit card. They didn't really give me an answer besides security reasons.

The reason Bitcoin is going to $1,000,000 by 2030 is not because it's fast. You guys need to use your brain to understand why.

Exactly. This.

People got to start doing the "homework" part, indeed.
Bright side, though - better wait 7 days on Coinbase than 48 days on PayPal, haha! (Happened to me)

Not really. More so depends. Least your money in paypal isnt dropping by the day. It just sucks because the guy I outsource work to only takes crypto because he has been burned for thousands on chargebacks and lost disputes...

It's not fast because you're using a middle map (Coinbase).
