Bitcoin Did it but me,,, Account Requires Verification

As we know the bitcoin*org owner is anonymous, yes its registered at Namecheap but still anonymous until 2029.
So I already bought some domain names with anonymous info, yesterday I decided to bought an other one for VERO store, I don't want NIKE or Gucci know me.
Today I receive email from Namecheap request Verify my Identity by provide

- Card holder's name
- Expiration date
- Last four digits of the card number

Seriously I don't have problem with that and already provide it to them, but think about it, why bitcoin*org get it done, I mean as they say the Bitcoin domain name owner is unknown. We talk here about famous domain name in the world comes with revolution technology that kill Banks and Government, but the owner is anonymous, ohh C'mon does they send to them the same Email? if yes, then they know.

I think they know the real owner because according to their terms KYC, yes the WHOIS can't know the owner but the company do.

It seems that you like domains containing trademarks.
So may be an URDP is coming.
Therefore your registrant is forced to reveal your identity and wants to verify first of all that the data are correct.
WHOIS protection has no connection with the veracity of the data

No the domain name don't include any trademarks, so normal
The point here is PRIVACY, so no one can buy a DN without showing himself.

Maybe they do know him, or maybe they don't. Maybe the owner used some fake info by providing photoshopped documents. No one can know for sure.

your first mistake is using namecheap
please nobody give money to this shitty ass company
anyway under new laws in usa you may be asked to submit documentation to prove your WHOIS info is accurate. and some URDP policy like @ontiscal mentioned.
namesilo sends me email once a year to verify whois. for now it's totally optional. since youre dealing with trademarks i imagine most vendors are in their rights to ask for proofs these days.

Becouse of fraud / Scams /and tax why everythink needs verifying.

What on a, domain is public so some how needs securing even if it via domain registration.
