So I don't have any experience investing in cryptocurrencies. I was always skeptical of them.

Back in I think 2014 or 2016, I remember buying a couple bitcoins when they were $400 each. I've been kicking myself for not taking bitcoin seriously all these years.

I want to buy a large amount in bitcoin and hold on to it for 5 to 10 years.

Is now a good time to buy, or do you expect another big dip that is worth waiting for? Some analysts are predicting a crypto winter and that price could drop as low as $14K

All these analysts are just predicting, no one knows what will happen, otherwise, we would have too many rich people. Buy now and don't stress too much about it, if jumps that's good, if it sinks, lousy luck. It's cliche, but never invest money that you can't afford to lose.

Ive been wondering the same thing.

Seems like a great time to buy BTC and ETH.

But will it dip further?

Seems to be holding stable and when this happens, it usually goes on a big run so maybe now is the time to buy.

I remember the Internet going through the same thing: so many ups and downs.

One day the Internet is the next big thing and the next minute its "dead"

I'm waiting for around 20-22k to buy too. BTC is a volatile market. Buy where it makes sense to you and always trust bitcoin.

Don't buy yet, US rate hikes have only just started. I'd look to buy in the next 8-12 months instead

Pase your buying over long periods of time.

Don't buy until it is at least 75% down from it's previous all time high.

I don't think anyone can advise you on when it's best to buy. It may drop further or pick up. Just be sure that you only invest what you can afford to lose. Don't be like those unfortunate people who put their entire savings in Luna for example.

Dollar Cost Average in. If you don't know what that means, google it

If you really want to invest in Bitcoin for the long term, then now is the best time. In coming years, Bitcoin will hit over $100k.
So if it's for the long term, then it doesn't matter whether you invest at $29k or $14k. And no one can predict the bottom point.

Well if I invest at a lower price I get a higher return. I want my investment to multiply by 10 in 5 years hopefully.
