So this happened yesterday - I was standing at the window in my house and this bird casually flew right up to me and perched itself on the windowsill then proceeded to pace back and forwards looking right at me.

Seemed almost like it was casing the house out.

Maybe the bird was carrying a message and you didn't opened the window? Maybe message from the queen.
 
The bird carries a good superstition, it may be to a happy start and peace. My cat drives birds away from home, therefore I cannot admire such charms of nature.

I think that's a dove that carries good superstition.
