Bing problem; Days with zero clicks?

Hi Guys,

I'm getting weird results in Bing. I run a campaign @ 400 clicks a day (yet still budget limited).
I'm running for 3 months now, all good untill this month. I'm getting days with 0 clicks. Then the day after it's just normal 400 cllicks again...

In the last 30 days this happend 4 times (random days).

Any idea what's going on? I don't have any notices in Bing, and can't figure out what the problem is on the specific days.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction?

I have had the same issue(although unlike you I never again got days with good clicks), customer support was of no particular help..ended up deleting the campaign and re-creating it..but the results weren't the same, although were close...but then I edited one word in the ad and since then zero clicks, it's been a week...everything eligible.

Also I have a campaign that gets like 2% of the impressions it should, due to 'low ad relevance', and it's actually very relevant. Nothing I tried to tinker with helped.

I think their ML/AI algorithm just sucks or is on purpose designed to frustrate non-huge spenders haha..although I don't see the motivation behind that.

My quality scores are great, CTR really high, everything perfect if you look into the campaign... There should be something right?

But if they don't let me spend, they aren't making $$$ either?
 
Bing and AdWords have drastically different search volumes, especially according to your niche. The demographics of those who use Bing are different than Google. Some niches will get almost no traffic on Bing, while there are actually some niches where Bing gets more traffic than Google.

Bing is almost exclusively cheaper per click than Google. If you’re bidding more on Bing than Google and still not getting traffic, that means either you’ve incorrectly configured your campaign or there simply isn’t enough search volume.
 
It depends on the trends. What is your impression share on those low day?

Impression share is 80% on all days, but on this day i don't get any results on impression share (no data).


I got more info from bing tooltips:

On the day without traffic:
"Your account's clicks decreased 79% compared to the past 7 day average.": - "What happened? 1 Search term related to your campaigns was searched less frequently."

Next day i have:
Your account's clicks increased 1583% compared to the previous day. - What happened? Related to your campaigns was searched more frequently.

To be clear: It's a term that's the same every day (and a lot of traffic on it). Getting more confused :)

Google Trends might give you your answer.
 
Always pause and play your ads every 2-3 days

At least 2 hours pause

That could help you gain advantage over their algo

This happens on bing and google
 
I now see someone else ranking on that term, and only 1 ad displayed. Before there where 3 ads on that term, and I was nr. 1 everytime.
Maybe i just have to outbid the other now to get every single day?

Just automate it.
 
I've noticed this a lot with Bing. They are actually quite difficult to work with, to the point where it makes sense to buy traffic somewhere else unless the campaign is extremely profitable. But that is just my experience.

@rothimi good tip, I will try this out. Curious how you came about this?

The Bid, you set up in certain conditions to increase your bid to first page, mainline or first.
Say for some reason you were bumped down to page 2. You can set it to put you on Page 1 if the Bid not going to cost you XXX amount.
