Let's say you had a website that was banned on Bing but does OK on Google. Contentwise, it has about 700 original articles, each over 1000 words. Banned on Bings means no Duck and Yahoo. Granted, this is only 4 percent of the market but this is traffic and I always feel that Bing traffic converts better.

So, what would be the downside to creating a duplicate website on another URL just for Bing. I would block Googlebot completely.

Not really seeing a downside in my mind but I would lover your thoughts.

First find why bing ban you
Then make another website without these faults and submit to bing

Bings is easy to rank for and very profitable even at 4% market share. I can't tell you if doing what you want is worth doing, But i can say I have a bing site and it does make money

They banned the site for some questionable link building early on. No problem with the content.
I have asked for reconsideration several times, no go.

If you’ll be blocking google, the only downside I can think of is the time. Is it really worth it?

Should take about 10 minutes to copy the content over with a wordpress website.
I have a domain that I am not really doing anything with. I blocked Google and once they deindex the website I will go ahead and proceed and see how it goes.
Thanks

Anything to back this up?

Did you remove bot searches, useless searches, joke searches and all the other junk google report as searches?

It's no wonder bing conversion is better... everybody uses google for a lot of crap but bing is used by real people.
Have you ever read a thread here about somebody doing research on bing? no... they do research by searching google.

Hold on... So many "pros" here say it's easy to rank on bing... because they can't rank anywhere.

Not OP but looks like google only has 86% share worldwide - https://www.statista.com/statistics/216573/worldwide-market-share-of-search-engines/

Bing share looks way better in America...
As I said before... did you remove all the "fake" google searches. There are more automated searches on google than you think.
Practically nobody uses bing for automated queries.

Just think for yourself... how many rank checkers use google to check keyword rankings and how many use bing.

I agree with you man. Whenever i know i can find something easily (like the last shared report) - i just use default DDG (it bing index i guess), but when i'm just searching for random stuff or images then i google and mostly don't click on sites. Google has a lot of blank searches i guess.

DDG are not bad... and NO... DDG basically combine google, bing, and other stuff.
The last time I checked my server, I had more traffic from DDG than from bing.

what niche was the site in for getting banned on Bing? i find piracy sites are banned on that shitty search engine

Hey man, that's been about 3 months when you made this thread, just curious how things worked for you with the new domain name + same content on bing?
You got it indexed?
