is there anyway to get stats of searches for keywords without setting up your site within bing. Some third party search keyword tool?

Does the tool need ot be for Bing specifically? Keyword research for Google is generally very similar to what you will find for Bing, Yahoo, etc.
LongTailPro, Google Keyword Planner, etc. have basically the same information that can be cross applied to Bing.
Also, if I recall correctly you don't actually have to spend any money with Bing to look at their PPC data. You just have to set up an account.

The kw research tools aren't supposed to be google specific. I don't know the inner working of Semrush and such, but I assume they include othe SE's data as well. But as you can expect, Google adwords and kw tools are probably a major component, but I'd guess bing data is in the mix there somewhere.

Just sign up in google keyword planner and you can check what is your keyword searches in google search engine there.
