HI!

I recently created a website that I indexed 2 weeks ago. Soon after getting my first backlink (yay!) I jumped from page 10 to page 5 on Google which is awesome, but I don?t understand what happened with bing.

I used to rank in the first page (desktop and mobile) in my city but I recently disapeared from the desktop SERP, yet I?m still in the first page of mobile results.

I checked Bing?s webmasters tools and nothing seems wrong, I did receive a spam alert or anything of the sort and my backlink is of high quality.

I?m really wondering what is going on?

Using the Bing Keyword Planner, check to see if the keyword receives any traffic in Bing. If not, then I wouldn't worry about it.

It's an extremely long tail keyword, I only see 3 searches during the last month.

If it is a brand new website you definitely have to wait awhile to see the results of ranking. Google will not rank a domain that is new, it will take 3-4 months of building links on a fresh domain to see results in the search engine

Actually Google isn't the problem, I'm ranking on page 5 which I consider good enough considering that my website is only 2 weeks old. Are you sure it's supposed to take 3 to 4 months? I jumped from page 10 to 5 in one week after adding only one link. Or maybe it is that the first gains are "easy" but the process slows down one you get closer to the first two SERPS.

Are you logged into hotmail on your mobile by any chance?

You may have been ghost banned. You see yourself but others don't.
