It seems bing deindexes many domains. there are threads everywhere about this.

How to avoid getting deindexed by bing?

It's much easier to rank using blackhat methods on bing its a shame they do this.

Do they remove any entire domain because of some DMCA notices or something?

It's algo work differently than Google, if it finds thin, duplicate, low quality content , it deindexes.
 
Got lots of autoblogs dendexed on bing, some of them cameback to the index without doing anything. But traffics never reach even half of their tops.

You gotta select the niche and select the keywords that has volume in bing via ahrefs.
Some niches and keywords have 0 bing volume.
 
Bing is a content based search engine unlike Google which is backlinks based. If you have moderate length unique content, then your chances of ranking on Bing are high. Avoid low-quality spammy backlinks and create unique hand-written content.

who is bing? is he the running back for tampa bay buccaneers?

backlinks still count for bing, they use the PR system just simpler. they have back link guidelines as well so they definitely use them. its just because competition is MUCH lower on bing due to so many that got booted you can rank moderate words with maybe 1 link even so it appears back links dont matter on bing but they still do. 20 good ones is all you need to kill competitors really.

Bing/Yahoo/DuckDuckGo account for 15% of search traffic so its a good secondary organic source. 15% of 6-7B with internet access still has much value.
