Many people did not know what is Mozilla or Firefox 3-4 years ago. They were die-hard fans of Internet explorer - but check the number of users of Mozilla firefox now. People will change their habits once they are convinced that Bing is better than Google now.

google has become too much as a standard for searching information, you could really break the chain by introducing bing to masses like microsoft is doing with xbox360 :) if you scroll to left end of dashboard you can see bing engine there.
 
I get more searches for my exact domain,com in google than I do from my site being #1 in Bing under all my terms... Google is here to stay no matter what they do.
 
I have tried bing today as "normal" person and the experience is really much better than using google. Problem is that today searching on web means googling for most of people and we as IM guys must do what our customers do and not what is best. Well, I still think that bing will gain more users slowly, but I still do not know how to rank sites in bing...
 
I think if Google change too much in the future, Bing will better. Nothing is number one forever.
 
Google is still the king, bing is just a bad copy of Yahoo and sucks
 
Believe me, Zuckerber can redirect the root domain to bing.com... nothing will change.
 
I think the next true contender could be facebook if they entered the search game. Google is all high and mighty right now but things will change.

it wasnt that long ago that people used to say "Xerox it" when they wanted a photocopy...
 
I completely get what you're trying to do and why you're trying to do it... However personally I have no idea what Bing wants.. I have top rankings in Google but I'm not even in the top 100 in Bing so for me a switch over would mean wasting time I've spent finding out what G likes..

Google is the best search engine for some reasons It relies on a simplicity that many other search engines lack, It's fast, reliable, easy to use, user friendly. Fewer, less noticeable ads, the search algorithm seems to bring the most relevant items to the top. Google frequently update with stop more spamming work and focus on serp results. I think Google is best.
