Hey guys... This is something I've wanted to try for a long time now, Bing ads + Amazon affiliate program to earn some side money. Just never got around to it.
What inspired me to try it was Elliot305 thread here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/bing-method.967347/
So using the method above I decided to twist it up and promote Amazon products. I just finished setting it up about 30 minutes ago.
Here's my Amazon stats currently:
I don't promote this account so all future stats will be from Bing ads doing this case study.
On Bing ads I'm investing $10.00 and anything over $10.00 that I earn will be a success. I chose about 75 high volume search terms to start out with and I'm running 11 different ads targeting popular products. I'm not using any brand terms. I am just using generic terms for example if I was selling a Bose Suround Sound Stereo System I would simply refer to it as a High Def Surround Sound Stereo system. I'm doing this so I have no issues from Bing. I'm not great at writing ads.
I'm not going to give away my exact ad copy or keywords but I will tell you in my ads I'm using buying trigger keywords. There's lots of them and you can easily look them up.
As for my cost per click, Just like in Elliot305's thread I'm bidding really low. I'll end up paying between $ .01 - .07 per click.
If I do make money in this case study I plan on adding more keywords and creating more ads. Right now I'm only targeting 1 high dollar item. My other items don't cost more than $60 and as low as $4
The part that I'm most excited about this case study is getting somebody who will buy multiple things and I think the cookie duration is 30 days so we will see how that goes.
I will update this thread with screen shots at least once a day to show my progress and tell you my Bing ads spend and clicks.
It will be interesting so stay tuned.
