Digging into the roots of trading - 14 feb 2015

Tip of the day : '' The market makers ''

As everyone probably know when comes to trading we must deal with price, entry/exit for a x period of time.
The various prices that we are able to see daily in our charts are made by the ''market makers''.

They control the price feeds, and offer several prices for buy/sell for the pending orders that are comming from retail traders , hedge funds, banks or brokers.
It's like an auction in other words.

So every time you will be watching a chart, try to remember that the market makers in corelation with advanced computing systems, make your chart prices possible.
Is upto you how well you can decode their intentions , to locate the levels, to read the other trader's intentions , and to be profitable longerm.

25 Rules of Trading - forex and binary

#1 The market pays you to be disciplined

The one constant truth concerning the markets is that discipline = longterm profitability

http://tinypic.com/r/zohxuc/8

#2 Be discplined every day, in every day, in every trade, and the market will reward you. But don't claim to be disciplined if you are not 100% of the time

Being disciplined is of the utmost importance, but it's not a sometimes thing, like claiming you quit a bad habit.
If you trade with discipline 9 of 10 trades, then you can't claim to be a disciplined trader.
It is the one undisciplined trade that will really hurt your overall performance for the day. Discipline must be practiced on every day.

When we say : '' the market will reward you'', typically we say patience is the key.

Hello OP,

I've read around that binary options are somewhat illegal and that the law does not support it. Especially when companies choose to not pay you for your payout.

Just curious though, what are the minimum deposit to start an account and which company/site would you recommend for binary trading?

Also, did you ever have problems with getting your money out?

Hello .

Binary trading has it's regulated brokers, yes is true that are also scammy ones, and thouse are not paiyng.

# 3 Always reduce the value of $ per trade when you're not in your waters, or distracted, unfocused on the market.

All trades follow this aspect.

For example, when you have two bad trade in a row, and let's say you bid 50$ on each one,it is best not to go with the double amount in the next trade (100$)
to recover the amount, but try to restart with 12/20$, then again to increase exponentially till the point you want to reach your %.

Of course, this is one of many combinations of management that can be applied, it is essential to mix them, in such way, that it simply suits your style.

#4 Never turn a winner into a loser

We all have violated this rule. However,it should be our goal to try harder not to violate it in the future.
We are talking about the greed factor, you never satisfied with a small winner and that can turn against you, badly.

There's no need to be greedy. It's only one trade.
You'll make many more trades during your sessions, opportunity exists in the marketplace all the time.

And remember : better a small win, than a huge loss.
Don't be greedy.

can any one provide me name of any legitimate binary broker so i can start with it?
thank in advance for the help

Yes...trading can be associated with gambling in your case?

i think its def fair to say u can make money with binary options.....but IT IS gambling. In fact you arent actually trading anything at all...you are literally making a bet on which direction a particular currency or commodity will move. I just want everyone to know when you "invest" in binary options, you are making a bet against the house, NOT against another person.

What is forex then?

5# Your biggest loser cannot exceed your biggest winner

Keep a trade log of all yout trades throughout the session.
If for example, you know that so far, your biggest win streak is like 5-10 trades in a row, don't allow to be interrupted by loosing trades.
If you do allow that to happen then a good day, can turn in a bad one, and of course , is like a market reversal, when you are not expecting it to do that way,
is just turning against.

So keep your profit and walk, prepare for the next session.

I'm sure that those softwares are scam. Otherwise everyone would have been using it. Experience is not necessary but if you are not experienced you need a very good knowledge and understanding of the currencies markets and how the prices are changing. You can just open a trial accounts on one of the platforms listed in this thread and try it out.

I am afraid that you are right about software, most of them scams, all that they want is probably to sign-up for their affiliate.

#6 Develop a methodology and stick with it. Don't change methodologies from day to day.

We are talking about a specific stratgy to follow, each day, every day.
Find a strategy that suits you, and follow the rules every time, every session, emulating same good win% ratio each time.

If you have a proven methodology, but it doesn't seem to be working in a given trading session, try to tweak it such way that will finally work.

If your methodology works, more than one-half of the trading session, then all you need to do is to stick with it .

#7 Be yourself.Don't try to be someone else

Learn to accept your confort zone as it relates to trade size.
Don't go beyond your boundaries if you don't handle the pressure.
You are who you are.

8# You always want to be able to come back and trade the next day

Never put yourself in the postition of losing more money than you can afford.
The worst feeling in the world is wanting to trade and not being able to do so because the funds in your account are low and your brokerage company will not allow you to continue, unless you submit more funds.
Always follow a good management, or longterm plan for your invested funds, by doing that you will avoid account wipe out.
If you take a loss that day (you set the limit for that, for example you don't trade any more if you have a 100$ loss that day), turn off the platform and do something else.

Tommorow is a new day, be focused and come back then.

9# Earn the righ to trade bigger

To many new traders think that because they have like 1k usd ballance in their account, they somehow have the right to trade 50/100 $ per trade. This cannot be further from the truth.
If you can't trade well with 20 usd then what makes you think that you have the right to trade with 50/100 $ ?

We must come back to the strategy sustenability and reliability.
So if you are not able to maintain a good % ratio, then there is a problem.

To solve that problem we must practice untill we are confident in what we use as strategy, in how we approach the everyday market conditions, and don't forget about emotion control.

Remember : if you are trading poorly with 50$ then turn back to practice, and when you are ready for real, start again with 20$ to regain the trust in you.
