Hello! how do you do that with the invoices on Shopify... via an app? Is the invoice created automatically and sent to the customer by mail? Are there any modern, beautiful templates?

Shopify doesn't deliver invoices by default. You will have to use an app; unfortunately, if you have multiple customers, you will have to pay for it as most of these apps are free for a limited number of invoices.
Just check the app store on shopify.

Just to make sure, @DD99 you're talking about invoices and not payment notification? Because as soon as the customer pays, an automatic email is sent as a proof of payment.
