I think I have a vague idea on how to achieve this goal, and this thread will serve a way for me to keep track of the progress.

One common thing we see in companies that are worth billions of dollars is that they solve problems on a global scale. The market is massive to begin with, therefore, only companies that offer true value to the masses sustain at that scale. So where am I starting?

For some of you that are already following my past stories, you may have noticed, I've been in several industries and attained a decent depth of their scale. While I'm still sharing those stories, I'll provide a little teaser of where I'm today.

Where am I today:
- CTO of one of the fastest growing AI companies (Backed by Tier-1 VCs)
- Co-Founder of AI company in Fintech
- Advisor of another AI company in Adtech
- In the process of joining a VC fund as a partner

I won't mention those names yet as I plan to launch BST threads here, respectively.

Each of the above three companies individually also solve mass scale problems and have the capability to reach 10 figures, however, to be completely honest, I really am still passionate about unifying hardware and software, hence it's still my area of desire to make it big there. After all, I've failed there 10 years ago and I tend to profit where I've once lost.

During this process, I see these three companies as a way to build my own credibility, knowledge, and connections that I'll be needing in the pursuit of larger AI.

My whole vision now is to create tomorrow's products, today. What exactly does this mean?

Boring. Absolutely boring. This is my feeling about the state of current consumer hardware. We're living in exciting times — the age of AI, the cusp of quantum computing, yet look around. Besides that latest phone of yours, or that shiny new computer, is anything really exciting?

The way I see it, big tech's mostly focusing on data. Large enterprises are just playing it safe due to their existing overhead. Some of the startups that missed the crypto train are now latching onto AI with python wrappers they've written over a weekend. A great number of Kickstarter projects are dead-ended.

And it gets worse. The breakthroughs in material sciences are deeply archived in research papers. Those exceptional researchers are jumping from one paper to the next with no objective of bringing their research to life, and all this amounts to an incredibly boring world that can have better days.

I'm here to change that. I'm pursuing this to bring my visions true. I need to see a more exciting world. I need my products making people's lives easier and in the process build a company that'll survive me.

/rant.

Here's where I'm starting:

Software: As many of you probably know of autogpt, essentially a glorified langchain. (I know some of you may disagree with this statement). But hear me out, I honestly think autogpt is bloated and can't really work in the embedded world. Starting off, it's written in Python. Arguably one of the most inefficient languages. I'm choosing Rust for mine, ensuring memory safety — as it's critical when building complex apps.

My vision is to create hardware that possesses its own intelligence, and is able to execute tasks in the real world. Eventually provide a platform where developers can simply create apps which can be loaded as "skills" on the hardware, and the hardware has its own reasoning, judgement to finish the tasks.

Imagine a garbage can with bionic arms that can clean up a restaurant after work hours, or chairs and tables folding themselves, or working in conjunction. Or a smart kitchen that transforms into something else depending on your use. All of this is possible when we add intelligence to hardware.

Hardware: On the hardware side, I intend to avoid using as many off-the-shelf components as possible. This might sound counterintuitive, but being in hardware, I've experienced first hand all the complexities, irregularities, compatibility and quality issues.

My vision is to build our own custom processor with focus on networking and AI. I've extensively researched on RISC-V and believe such a thing can be built. It may not be the fastest or the best, but my goal is to ensure it works seamlessly with the software we're building. You may say I'm following Apple's strategy, you're right.

I believe this is one of the reasons Apple's dominating. The user experience is so seamless that you wouldn't want to get out of the ecosystem. (I think I sound like a fanboy haha).

If I can tweak my core to voltage ratio, I can build devices that will have longer battery lives.

The next big roadblock here is manufacturing the chips. Wafer runs start at a minimum cost of $10M. It's not feasible for someone in my stage. To solve this, I intend to take the MPW route (Multi-project wafers), where I share the space on the wafer with many other smaller companies. Overall per chip cost will be expensive, but a viable option for proof of concept.

I'll be using all the skills I've ever learned in Internet Marketing and Affiliate marketing to ensure I run this as lean as possible. Growth hack my way through it by leveraging a lot of the amazing services sold on this forum. I truly believe such a thing can be pulled off with all the collective efforts people put on this forum.

All this might sound downright insane or makes me look bat shit crazy, but honestly who cares? I ain't doing this to make millions anymore. Would be nice to build a 10 figure company, and be remembered for true innovation. In this thread I'll be sharing various IM strategies I'll be using to achieve a certain escape velocity, as well as my research links and papers.

Yeah I saw your really 'advanced software'. It's so advanced that Musk should learn a thing or two! Good for you! :rolleyes:
 
A billion dollars and vague ideas don't really sit well together but best of luck.
 
You could create a terraform software for satellites to terraform Mars through Elon Musk satellites

You must hire a meteorologist to serve as a software architect

In two years there will be water in the form of lakes

You can even make it snow or have a water cycle

You could create a atmosphere with software and a satellite through the satellite's microwave tool

Journal update #1: 20-hour work days are back.

Began the architecture of my autonomous agents platform. Goal is to mimic a human brain as closely as possible. In both psychological behaviour and reasoning wise. To achieve this, I've identified a current paper called Boosting Theory of Mind.

I believe this paper is a great start for a platform that's aiming to work with hardware. This may reduce the hallucinations from AI's agents — at least that's what I've concluded from the paper. Will begin implementation. Choosing Rust has already made my job so much more difficult considering the open source ecosystem isn't as strong. Speaking of open source, this platform will be kept as such. I want all the future communities, enthusiasts and innovators to benefit from it.

I fear I may hit a hard roadblock where I have to dip back into Py, which I'm desperately avoiding to do. Let's hope I'll overcome those potential walls.

On the product front, I've identified something I'd like to build. This week will hire an electrical and embedded engineer. Plan is to just use something like ESP32 for now. That platform's documentation sucks, and I dislike tapping into buggy C libraries. Hoping it'll be all smooth sailing on that front.

On the marketing / content side, for now I have a landing page put up. Have to start on Insta/Tiktok/Snap chat ads. Make as much visual content as possible, shorts under 10 seconds. Fast and snappy, keep the users' attention on their toes.

I'm also considering Kickstarter route. But honestly, I'm really scared to pursue that way. I wouldn't touch it unless I have at least 60% of the inventory on hand, ready to ship. Failing publicly at that scale can wash away everything I've built so far. I find myself once again in truly uncharted waters. Although I'm bootstrapping it all, Kickstarter helps validate the mass scale. The downsides are looking strong too.

I might scrap that path, but let's see. Have to adapt as I sail on this journey.

Very ambitious for my taste, I'll leave you to it. Not for me. My roadmap is for the next 10 years, not the next 1,000 lol.
