Billion Dollar Idea - Invention Idea that'll make billions

Oh my God. Madinaz, I know you're watching. Please, pretty, pretty please, can you close this thread too? I'm begging you. We've got a fake product and a fake doctor and a plethora of flamers here.

What you want is a "patent pending" and place it under intellectual property. The problem with patents is that you have to publish what you have and then everyone can take a look at it.

Asian countries (fact not prejudice) have agents who scour the patent office for new inventions. The ones they think will make money they grab and take it to market before the original inventor can even get the patent on it. It's a known problem but our government doesn't do anything to protect it's inventors.

You really do need a prototype. Which of course will require funding. There are investment firms which specialize in this kind of thing. They can do a patent search better than you because they have people who specialize in it. They are also in a good position to protect your assets from predators. They would tell you the same to go with a "patent pending" and intellectual properties.

If you have the idea that is usually good enough. As long as you can explain it and a prototype either real or virtual can be built is about all it takes. The guy who invented inter-locking concrete walls didn't know how anything about concrete or how to build. All he had was an idea of how it would work. He showed the concept to a prototyper and the rest is history.

Your best bet is to file under "intellectual properties" find a few investment firms which are interested in your idea get them to sign a NC/ND agreement and if they like it, license it to them. Take a 2% gross profit on it and walk away. You don't have the money to make it happen or the experience or even a prototype so it's best to simply license it and make your profit by allowing other people do the work.

Don't count on a 35% royalty check. Doesn't happen in real life. Wish it did but in reality there's research and development, legal, management, administrative and a lot of lawyers who get involved in something like this. Leave it to the pros and license your idea as well as any product developed from the original idea.

If you really want to patent something and make money from your then patent your DNA, organs and bodily fluids. Then have fun suing the hospitals who sell it to others without your permission. 8)

Some people have no vision and only believe in what they can see and touch. Even then they don't believe it if they choose not to.

Seeing is not believing. Believing is seeing.

Go for your dream -- if you have the courage to take action with it you're 98% further along than most people who stay hidden behind their computers creating fantasy businesses they can start.

Good luck!

Hello Blackhat users! I have an Idea that is capable of making me a billionaire. It involves vehicle safety. There is nothing like this which is a great idea in today's market. The only problem is I have no idea how to create this product because I don't know that much about electronics. Is it possible to patent a product which I don't even have an idea how to create it? What type of companies would be able to help me create this safety product? Is it possible to sketch and patent this product and describe what it'll do to get legal rights? Help me out guys! Thanks. I love Blackhatworld!

Put up some flyers in your local university in electronics department or mechanical engineering dept. There will always be some braniac student (undergrad, phd or even prof may be very interested and pasionate about it) universities are where you will find passion and knowledge about this stuff. Internet engineering & technology forums should be a world of info.
I did this when I was trying to get some autoposting software made for me.

Lots of them will know about patents and legal stuff too.

But as you know yourself, try not too give too much away!

Billion dollar ideas are worth about a dime a billion. Everyone has them. Many, many of them are even great. Seldom do any of them become reality. People don't make money because they have an idea, they make money because they are capably of turning the idea into reality. The guy that mentioned Shark Tank gave a great example. Watch that show sometime, when someone has a great idea but no chance in hell of implementing it, the investors aren't interested.

If you really want to do something with the idea, you would be better looking for an inventors forum somewhere. That's where you'll find the type of experience your hoping to find.

The BHW forum is about making money by marketing online.
You won't like this idea, but it is more in line with the topic of this forum.

Create a website detailing and discussing your billion dollar idea. Use some whitehat or blackhat methods to promote the site and get traffic coming to it. Make a landing page that gets people interested, then make them do a CPA offer or something before they can access the rest of your site which includes even more details.

If the idea is good enough and starts creating a buzz, then monetize the site even more. Find some good clickbank products that are in a similar niche and advertize for them on your site. Ad some Adsense or other PPC advertising on the site to catch even more people just surfing through your site.

A Billion Dollar idea for a product you have no idea how to create isn't going to make you a billion dollars. If you think it is a good enough idea, then create a tos that has to be accepted before they access where you disclose the 'meat' of your idea. Include copyright info on your website explicitely protecting your content. That way if someone does actually implement the idea then you can document it was your idea.

In the meantime, by using the idea to market something else that does exists, you could very well make millions.

ever hear of 'the advanced brake-light display'? (stops rear-end collisions)
ever hear of 'spot rot'? (detects crappy used cars)

these are two great auto products that i delved into back in the 90s. i contacted dozens of automotive / hardware stores in the u.s. and canada, but i got nowhere with them.

ideas are nothing, the devil is in the details.

I'd love to see what kind of progress the op has made at this point.

There is nothing like my product Ladies and Black hat Gents!

Just because you are a doctor, doesn't mean you know EVERYTHING... c'mon if there's nothing like it, then there's probably a reason.

But glwt!
