Hello Blackhat users! I have an Idea that is capable of making me a billionaire. It involves vehicle safety. There is nothing like this which is a great idea in today's market. The only problem is I have no idea how to create this product because I don't know that much about electronics. Is it possible to patent a product which I don't even have an idea how to create it? What type of companies would be able to help me create this safety product? Is it possible to sketch and patent this product and describe what it'll do to get legal rights? Help me out guys! Thanks. To answer all of your questions yes you can. Though a big suggestion is to not waste you $$ on a pattent bc if a company or major corporation wants it bad enough they can then tie your funds up in court and win the idea product through having more money then you. Sorry to burst your bubble but I have had a friend go through that and it was not pretty. See I too am an inventor and just want to pay it forward. I dont want to see you go through all of this bs...

If I shouldn't waste my hard earn money on a patent, well how should I get the rights for this product to make it legally mine. There is no other product like this. I've researched online about companies which I submit my ideal product and if they find worth selling they'll create it and give me rights. They'll invest their time and money in making this product and go to different companies to market them. They do get a 30% - 35% off royalty checks.

I invented a pollution control device for vehicles several years ago, but I ran into a brick wall when I tried to test the damn thing... every emissions testing place I approached said they wouldn't test my system because I had broken federal law by removing the stock vehicle emissions systems... take off the egr, o2 sensor and cat, and they get really annoyed.... the prototype is still in storage at my parents house, and the car I built it for was sold years ago... I hope you have better luck with your idea!

Why do you have to test it on a vehicle? just wheel in an engine on a barrow
or go to a science lab rather than a car test center. What about a boat engine,
a motor mower engine even a motorbike.

Ladies and Black hat Gents, This product is going to make me wealthy. Like many of past successful blackhat user who has made great income from information and advice they've used from you users. They've thanked those responsible for their success. Like them I will do the same and some!
Again there is nothing like this product. I've searched and researched topics relating to this and found what?... nothing! This gives me a opportunity to improve the safety for generation to come.
Many of you who have children, animals, the elderly and even yourself would be rest assured that you'll have the extra safety of security that my product will give you and those you love most.
It's a safety mechanism that every car should have! I believe one life gone victim to vehicle death is one too many!
I envision that my product will be used in every vehicle in the future. I am also sketching a product that would be able to be used in cars we are currently driving.
I titled Billion Dollar Idea because I truly believe in my product.
And once it's made and patented you haters will hate me even more because my product will be used in vehicles you drive. After all it's people like you that makes successful people like me. lol.

It's really wasteful and stupid to post these "idea" posts about billion dollar inventions.
"Newbie", you are wrong about this forum being an outlet for whimsical fantasy ideas.
Ideally, you should be sharing a Method, that has made you money and you have laid out the steps you took to make it happen. This is called a "Share" here on the forum. You can choose to "Share" or not.

I believe it's only $35 to copyright your idea online and then if you really are serious about protecting your idea, then talk to a lawyer who actually specializes in copyright law. Then you'll have a good idea of what to look out for when you're looking for someone who has the skills and tools to build you a prototype.
Seriously, coming here and saying you have a billion dollar idea will make a lot of people jealous and they will bitch and moan in your thread.
