I could see this working well with a solid zip submit that allows mobile phones... Over a busy area ? .. Think this could work ?

It could but how many people are going to take the time to note the number etc. I think personally if it was a magic bullet those big players with lots of money would of tried it.

On another note though It does seem like it has some potential.

And on another note I hear radio ads all the time that are for free ipads on my city. I hear ads for "FreeUSIpad.com"

They advertise on the urban/hiphop stations mostly, and make it extremely clear about what site they should go to to get their free iPad.

You listen to the same station I do. ;) I was thinking of trying it in a different niche.

Well, you really gotta put some numbers together for it. If it's the ad is probably being ran by the advertisers themselves, so they're not dealing with a $1.25 payout or something like that. Plus, some radio stations want a heafty fee for advertising blocks. You can, however, contact smaller radio stations and work out a 'performance' model, where they only get paid when their listeners actually complete the action, which will give them motivation to actually TALK about the offer.

While I believe urban radio stations would be lower quality leads, you may want to also think about those soft-rock or pop or even gospel stations, you know, the ones that soccer moms listen to? :p

I don't think they would be lower quality. I already have it planned out for when I do a test. I'm going to use Jones as the speaker and it's going to be something other than an email submit with a much higher payout. I'll open a thread with results once I launch the campaign. :)

Cant' wait to see your results!

Have you guys checked the cost of billboards? Big city=big cost.

Billboards can be very expensive....
If you have the money to loose in trying to make money back, then try it
I always try new marketing methods once to see how they work...

The marketing community is moving away from mass marketing in favor of targeted marketing. If you plan to use mass marketing techniques, then you ought to have a product that appeals to the "general consumer."
